
INGREDIENTS
Chicken with bones – 800gms- 1 Kg
Ghee/Oil – 2-3 tbsp.
Bay leaves – 2
Medium sized onion – 2, chopped finely
Medium sized tomatoes – 3, finely chopped
Meat masala – 1 heaped tbsp. Or mix of Coriander powder+jeera powder+Garam masala+Turmeric powder.
Green masala paste to grind
Garlic cloves – 5-6
Ginger – 10 gms.
Green chillies – 3
Small sized onion – 1
Coriander leaves – 1 small cup
METHOD
- Cut and clean the chicken and marinate it with salt, turmeric powder, lemon juice and little red chilli powder. Keep it aside for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the green paste.
3. In a vessel, heat the ghee/oil. Add the bay leaves and fry for few seconds.Â
4. Add in the chopped onion and fry till golden brown.Â
5. Now add the meat masala and fry stirring for a minute.
6. Now add the ground masala paste and stir for couple of minutes.
7. Now add in the chopped tomatoes. Cook till the tomatoes are melted and oil seperates at the edges.
8. Now add the chicken pieces and some salt. Mix well and fry for few minutes. Cover and cook till done.
